Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SmartSelect collects and uses information when manufacturers create product configurators and when end customers submit configurations or contact information.
Information we collect
SmartSelect collects information needed to operate a B2B product configurator platform. This may include manufacturer/admin account details such as names, email addresses, company information, authentication status, and workspace membership.
Manufacturers may add configurator content, product information, questions, options, estimated pricing, branding assets, logos, and related settings.
When end customers use public configurators or contact forms, we may collect submitted contact details, answers, selected products/options, configuration details, lead metadata, and messages.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, create and publish configurators, process public submissions, send lead notifications, maintain accounts, support users, troubleshoot issues, and improve SmartSelect.
We do not sell personal information. Lead and configurator data is used to deliver the service to the manufacturer or workspace that collected it.
Lead and contact submissions
Public configurator submissions are intended to be shared with the manufacturer or workspace that owns the configurator. Manufacturers are responsible for how they follow up with leads and for the content, pricing, and claims shown in their configurators.
Contact page submissions are used to respond to inquiries sent to SmartSelect.
Cookies, sessions, and authentication
SmartSelect uses cookies and similar session technologies to keep users signed in, protect authenticated areas, and operate the application. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth, including email/password and supported OAuth providers such as Google.
Service providers
We use third-party providers to operate SmartSelect, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and security controls; an email provider for transactional and notification emails; hosting infrastructure for application delivery; and analytics tools such as PostHog when configured for admin product analytics.
These providers process information on our behalf to support the service.
Data retention
We keep account, configurator, submission, and operational data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support customers. Workspace owners may request deletion or export assistance by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including hosted authentication, access controls, tenant-scoped data access, and encrypted transport where supported. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SmartSelect evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users or make the updated policy available in the application.
